NBA star Chris Bosh seeking primary custody

Last week, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat won the NBA Finals. Bosh, after emerging victorious from this basketball court battle, is now hoping to prevail in a very different kind of court battle. The battle in question is a child custody battle.

The battle is between Bosh and his ex, who is the mother of his 4-year-old daughter. The battle has been going for awhile now.

A development recently occurred in this battle. Currently, Bosh's ex has primary custody of the daughter. Bosh has now filed a request asking that primary custody of the child be removed from his ex and given to him instead. Reportedly, Bosh is basing this request on claims that his ex has taken actions to poison his relationship with his daughter and prevent him from having consistent contact with his daughter. Bosh's ex has denied these allegations.

One wonders what will ultimately happen in regards to Bosh's request. One also wonders what will happen in the overall custody battle and how it will ultimately be resolved.

This matter illustrates a couple of points that are worth noting. The first is that child custody disputes sometimes arise between parents. The second is that one of the things such disputes sometimes regard is who is to have primary custody of a child.

Disputes regarding who is to have primary custody of a child can have many complex aspects. What ultimately happens in such disputes can have significant impacts. Thus, if a person is involved in a dispute over primary custody of a child, he or she may wish to consider seeking advice from an experienced family law attorney.
