What are the most common argument subjects among couples?

There are many things couples argue about. There are certain things though that tend to pop up as couple argument subjects more often than others.

Recently, an article on the Huffington Post's website discussed arguments among couples. Among the things the article talked about was what the most common argument topics for couples were. The five things that the article identified as being the things that it is most common for couples to fight about were: extended family, physical intimacy, housework, money and free time.

Are there any other things that you think are particularly common argument subjects among couples?

Now, given that every married couple is unique, each married couple will generally have its own set of issues that are particularly common sources of fighting among the couple. Sometimes, couples keep their fighting over these issues more or less at a healthy level and their fights don't end up having any major long-term negative effects on the marriage. Sometimes though, fights among a married couple go a more unhealthy direction and start to negatively affect a couple's relationship. Occasionally, unhealthy fighting among a married couple causes enough animosity within the couple to cause the marriage to become broken.

What issues do you think are most likely to lead to fights that could damage a marriage and increase the possibility of divorce? What do you think are the best ways to help prevent arguments from becoming harmful to a marriage?

Unsurprisingly, there can also be quite a bit of arguing among divorcing couples. Arguments among divorcing couples can touch a wide range of subjects, from personal matters to matters regarding the logistics of the divorce. One thing that it can be very important for divorcing individuals to avoid when it comes to arguments with their soon-to-be ex is letting the frustration they feel in connection to such arguments color their decision-making in their divorce. When individuals allow frustration and anger to take the helm in divorce decision-making, it could lead to them making decisions that are not in their best interests.
