Sometimes, domestic violence allegations arise between parties to a divorce. When a divorce and domestic violence allegations overlap, certain issues can arise. Such issues can be very important and how such issues are ultimately resolved can be extremely impactful. Thus, if a person is in divorce proceedings with a spouse who has committed abuse against them, having an experienced family law attorney on one’s side can be very important.

Recently, some divorce news has arisen regarding a celebrity couple that has leveled domestic abuse allegations against each other. The members of the celebrity couple in question are musician Greg Hetson and his wife. Hetson is the lead guitarist of Bad Religion, a famous punk band.

Hetson and his wife got married around two years ago. Hetson recently filed a petition for a divorce. Hetson cited irreconcilable differences in this divorce petition. The article on TMZ’s website which reported this story did not mention where this divorce filing was made.

Prior to this divorce filing being made, Hetson and his wife traded domestic violence allegations. Both made requests for a restraining order. According to the TMZ article mentioned above, Hetson’s wife’s request for a restraining order against Hetson was granted. The article did not mention if a decision has yet been made in regards to Hetson’s request for a restraining order against his wife.

One wonders if any domestic violence-related issues will come up in the upcoming divorce proceedings and, if they do, what resolutions are ultimately reached in regards to such issues.
