Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher divorce reaching its conclusion

On Behalf of The Shapiro Law Firm | Nov 1, 2013 | Divorce

Recently, some news has arisen regarding the divorce of actress Demi Moore and actor Ashton Kutcher. A settlement has been reached regarding the financial issues in the divorce.

Moore and Kutcher got married in 2005. In addition to being married, Moore and Kutcher also worked together on some business ventures. This illustrates how married individuals sometimes also have business relationships together. For couples in which this is the case, when a divorce occurs, it can be very important to carefully work out what will happen in regards to the business relationship when the marital relationship is broken up.

Moore and Kutcher separated in 2011. Over a year after the separation, divorce filings were made by both Kutcher and Moore.

One of the major issues in this divorce was property division. The settlement the two recently reached sets up how their marital property will be split between them.

While Moore had been seeking to be given spousal support in the divorce, she reportedly will not receive such support under the settlement.

As can be seen in this case, it can sometimes take awhile for divorce-related issues to be resolved. This is understandable, given how impactful the things such issues involve can be. While everyone wants to get through a divorce as quickly as possible, when it comes to property division and other divorce-related issues, getting the issues sorted out properly can be much more important than getting them sorted out rapidly. Dealing with these issues properly can save divorcing couples a lot of time and grief in the long run.
