It appears that the marriage between the two individuals who make up the long-running pop duo The Captain and Tennille is coming to an end. The two individuals in question are Cathryn Antoinette Tennille and Daryl Dragon.
Dragon and Tennille started recording under the name The Captain and Tennille in the first half of the 1970s. They had several hits in the 1970s, including “Love Will Keep Us Together,” “Muskrat Love,” and “Do That to Me One More Time.” They also had a television variety show called “The Captain and Tennille Show.”
The two got married in 1975. Last week, Tennille and Dragon filed for a divorce. The two are both in their 70s.
As this celebrity divorce shows, divorces are not limited to younger couples. The decision to divorce is one that couples can reach at any age. In fact, in recent years, divorces among older couples have been becoming increasingly common.
Property division can be a particularly important issue for older couples who are getting divorced. Older couples that have been married for a long time may have many different assets they have acquired during their marriage, including pieces of personal property that they have strong emotional connections to. Thus, reaching property division arrangements that are fair and which take into account the various connections the divorcing parties have with certain pieces of property can be very important in the divorce of an older couple.
Property division matters are one of the many things that experienced family law attorneys can help individuals who are going through a divorce with.
