50 Cent accused of committing domestic violence

On Behalf of The Shapiro Law Firm | Jul 8, 2013 | Domestic Violence

Domestic violence cases can involve a wide variety of alleged violent actions. One type of allegation such cases sometimes involve are allegations of violent actions against a romantic partner. A case that involves such allegations has recently arisen involving a celebrity.

The celebrity in question is rap artist 50 Cent. The case is from Los Angeles.

It has been alleged that 50 Cent got into an argument with his girlfriend at the girlfriend’s home on June 23. Allegedly, during this argument:

  • The woman locked herself in a bathroom.
  • 50 Cent forced his way into the bathroom by kicking in a door.
  • 50 Cent injured the woman by kicking her.
  • 50 Cent caused thousands of dollars of property damage.

Domestic violence, like that which allegedly occurred in this case, can cause great harm to its victims.

Reportedly, 50 Cent is facing criminal charges in connection to the above allegations. Specifically, charges of vandalism and domestic violence have been brought against him. 50 Cent could be given fines and a jail sentence if he is found guilty of these charges. This illustrates how being accused of domestic violence can lead to a person facing serious potential consequences.

It has been reported that 50 Cent is denying the allegations that have been leveled against him. One wonders what will ultimately happen in this case.

What happens in domestic violence cases can be very impactful on both the person accused of the violence and the victim of the alleged violence. Thus, if a person has been the victim of domestic violence or has been falsely accused of having committed domestic violence, he or she may wish to consider meeting with an experienced domestic violence attorney.
